Privacy policy
This policy describes information handling in Little Growers and at easyrep.app. Children should use the app with a parent or guardian. Adults manage accounts and online pronunciation assessment.
1. Scope and operator
Applies to local learning, optional adult accounts, online pronunciation assessment and this website. The operator’s legal name and support email must be confirmed before release. This is a draft policy, not a final App Store privacy declaration.
2. Learning data on your device
The app stores your selected Bear or Bunny profile, completed maths questions, apple-sharing discoveries, daily activities and language preference on your device. These fixed characters do not require a child’s real name, birth date, school or address. Learning progress is not uploaded to the account server or synced across devices.
3. Optional adult account
Basic learning does not require sign-in. Adult account features process the name or nickname, email, optional uploaded avatar, account identifier, verification status, hashed password, sessions and necessary security information to authenticate, protect accounts and handle requests. Do not create accounts using children’s real details.
4. Microphone and assessment
Recording starts only when you actively begin practice after consent and OS microphone permission. Audio, reference text, language and assessment mode are sent through an encrypted connection to a third-party speech assessment service for pronunciation feedback. The provider also receives connection information such as your IP address. Our server verifies the adult session and issues assessment credentials; audio is sent directly from the device to the provider. Playback audio is cached locally and removal is attempted on reset or exit. A crash may leave cache files until OS cleanup or uninstallation. Scores and word feedback are practice aids, not medical or ability diagnoses. You may decline upload and keep listening to examples. Revoking microphone permission prevents future recording, but does not recall audio already sent. The external assessment service’s current published terms describe default retention of 30 days for online audio and assessment text, storage in mainland China, and access, correction and deletion request channels. The contract, retention period and any model-training arrangement applicable to the actual API account must be verified and documented before public release.
5. Providers and sharing
Cloudflare provides the website, account API, database and uploaded-file infrastructure and may process IP addresses, request times and security logs. A third-party speech assessment service processes assessments you choose to submit. The configured email provider handles recipients and verification or reset messages; the active provider must be named before public release. If in-app purchases are enabled in the release, Apple and RevenueCat process transactions, subscriptions and account associations; the app does not receive full card numbers. Basic learning currently contains no advertising or cross-app advertising tracking. Additional purposes require appropriate notice and consent.
6. Children and parental choices
This product is designed for learning with family support. Adults should manage accounts, external links, purchases and audio uploads. Do not include children’s names, school, home address or unnecessary personal details in recordings or support requests. Guardians may decline assessment, revoke microphone access and contact the operator to request access, correction or deletion. An ordinary consent dialog does not by itself establish verifiable parental consent under applicable children’s privacy law. Requirements must be checked for the actual release territories before launch.
7. Retention, deletion and regions
Local learning records remain while the app data remains; uninstalling or clearing app data removes them. Adult account data remains while the account is in use. Account settings provide deletion of the account and associated sessions, subject to legally required records. Account deletion does not automatically cancel Apple subscriptions, erase local learning progress or delete provider-held audio. Cloud providers may process data outside your country. Actual regions, backup and security-log retention, provider audio deletion and applicable transfer safeguards must be verified before release.
8. Your rights and contact
Depending on applicable law, you or your guardian may request access, correction or deletion, withdraw optional consent or raise a complaint. Contact the operator through Help & contact and provide only details needed to handle your request. Identity verification may be necessary to protect the account.
9. Security
Transport uses HTTPS/WSS, passwords are hashed and speech service secrets remain server-side. We aim to minimise processing, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Protect the adult account and use supported OS versions.
10. Policy updates
We update this policy and date when features or providers change. New personal-data uses will receive appropriate notice and renewed consent where required.
